Eleanor (nee Neff) Haury

Eleanor (nee Neff) Haury, 96, formerly of Erhart, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 27, 2013. Eleanor was born December 16, 1916 in LaGrange, to the late Charles and Bernice (nee Brenner) Neff.

She was a longtime member of St. Martin of Tours. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, baking and crocheting. Her greatest love was her family.

She is survived by her sons, Gilbert (Joyce) of Grafton, Ronald (Jimi) of Pennsylvania and Lawrence (Carole) of Erhart; eight grandchildren, Cheryl (Brian) Dearth, Brent, Lucinda (Curt) Hawke, Brad (Tracy), Pam (Lou) Flori, John (Jeanne), Paul (April) and Mark; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney; and brothers, Andrew, Willis and Calvin Neff.

The family wishes to express their sincere Thanks to Hospice of Medina County for their compassionate care, support as well as to the caregivers. A special Thank you to the Eucharist Ministers from St. Martin’s for their dedication of serving their members.

Funeral Mass will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, with Rev. Thomas Dunphy, officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Church Cemetery, Valley City. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 P.M., Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City.

The family suggests memorials if desired may be made to St. Martin Building Fund or to Hospice of Medina County.
