Russell Charles Huthmaker, 91, of Brunswick, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2013. He was born March 19, 1922 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to the late Roland and Frieda Huthmaker.
Russell served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was a member of the Marine Corps Band. He was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church of Brunswick, and faithfully served the Lord in the music ministry.
He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Motrunick); father of Alan (Louann), James (Colleen), Kathryn Pembridge (Robert), David (Donna); he was a grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather to many; he is also survived by his brothers, Charles of Arkansas and Buddy of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris; son, Darryl; granddaughter, Kadi; and great granddaughter, Ashley.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Waite and Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Rd., Brunswick, at 12 Noon, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Powers officiating. Burial with honors will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
