He graduated in 1974 from Cloverleaf High School in Lodi and was an active member of the marching band. Tom entered the U.S. Air Force after high school and was stationed primarily at Davis-Monthan Air Force base in Tucson, Arizona, where he worked the flight line as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist on A-10’s. His service was August 1978 through September 1980.
Tom loved working on and flying sailplanes in his younger years. He then turned to motor sports road racing, where he was active both in SCCA and club racing.
Tom is preceded in death by his father, Arthur D. Brenza, formerly of Lodi,
Tom is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cara (Lenz) Brenza of Edgewood, New Mexico; his son, Levi T. Brenza of Edgewood, New Mexico; mother Norma J. Brenza of Lebanon; sister, Barbara (Brenza) Robinson of Dayton; brothers, Robert Brenza of Akron, John Brenza of Dayton, and James Brenza of Cincinnati; and many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Tom’s interment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, in Rittman, Friday, November 15, 2013, at 11 A.M. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
