Westfield resident, 73, indicted on voter fraud count

MEDINA — A Medina County grand jury indicted a 73-year-old Westfield Center man on a charge of voter fraud.

Thomas Losasso, of 6850 Ridge Road, is charged with a count of illegal voting, a fourth-degree felony punishable by up to 1½ years in prison.

He’s accused of casting more than one vote in the November 2012 presidential election, according to his Nov. 6 indictment.

“He allegedly voted in both Ohio and Florida,” county Prosecutor Dean Holman said.

Holman said an investigation into Losasso was conducted independently by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Losasso does not have a party affiliation, according to county Board of Elections records.

He’s scheduled for a Nov. 21 arraignment before Common Pleas Judge James L. Kimbler.

Holman said Losasso’s case is not one of the eight questionable ballots from last November’s presidential election forwarded to his office by the Board of Elections. Holman said his office still is investigating those cases as possible voter fraud.
