Robert Melvin (Bob) Lee, 76, of West Salem, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 11, 2013 at his home. He was born January 24, 1937 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, to Melvin Jacob and Lorraine Shirley (Purdee) Lee.
He moved to Ohio at the age of 16 and later served in the U.S. Army, having been stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Bob worked as a machinist for Ohio Bolt and Nut, as well as Tru-Fit in Medina, where he retired from in 1999 after 30 years of service.
He was an avid fisherman, and also a member of the Medina Moose Lodge, and the Salem Lutheran Church in Wooster.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Garberich), to whom he married on August 19, 1988; son, Robert John Lee of Arizona; grandsons, Jacob James Lee and Vincent Alexander Lee; step daughter, Kerrie Ann (Travis) Carlisle of Seville; step grandchildren, Alexis, Paiden, Coy, and Lane; sisters, Connie (Buck) Feil of Pennsylvania and Dory McQuinlan of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services.
