Vehicle crashes into Fair Board building

MEDINA — A man escaped injury when he crashed a Ford Escape into the offices of the Medina County Fair Board, damaging the building at 710 W. Smith Road.
The Ford Escape was lodged about halfway into the side of the building’s wall, toward the back of the building.

Emergency personnel were called at about 3:45 p.m. Friday.

Medina police said Friday afternoon they weren’t sure yet what caused the crash.

Operations Capt. Steve Ingersoll of the Medina Fire Department said there were people inside the building, but no one was injured. He estimated the crash caused about $50,000 in damage to the building.
