She was the loving wife to the late Douglas E. Howard for 49 years; and the daughter of the late Emil Edward Devine and Arline Constance Devine of Lakewood.
She was an amazing and selfless caretaker of her late husband for five years, as he battled Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Audrey was employed at both Southwest General and Wadsworth Hospital as a dedicated X-ray technologist. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed her movie collection, was a member of the Lafayette Township Zoning Board, and was active in the Red Hat Society. In addition, she was passionate in her support of the Cleveland Browns and Indians.
She is survived by a sister, Karen Shoemaker of Lakewood; her four children, Richard Howard of Strongsville; Carey Paquette and husband, Steven of Chesterield, Missouri, Tracey Paquette of Wolcott, Connecticut and Michael Howard and wife, Miyon of Fairview Park. In addition, she is survived by 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Huber and her husband, Mike, Douglas Paquette, Nicole Kelleher, Monique, Taylor, Joseph, Mireille, and Steven Paquette, and Olivia, Gwyneth, and Sean Howard. There are five great-grandchildren, MJ, Callahan, Charlotte, and Mitch Huber and Logan Kelleher; two nieces, Jennifer Bowen and Gretchen Desatnik; and two nephews, Fred and Kurt Shoemaker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2013, 10:30 A.M., at St. Francis Xavier Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina 44256. Burial, at St. Francis Cemetery, will immediately follow Mass, where she will be buried alongside her husband, Douglas E. Howard.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations, made in her name, to the American Lung Association.
