Norman Joseph DeMarchek, “Norm the Barber”, 81, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013.

Norman was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was a barber for over 65 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who loved his family dearly.

Norman will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of over 61 years, MaryAnn (nee Piatak); his children, Laurene Rutkowski (David) and Beverly Briane (Steve); grandchildren, Jason, Amber, Brad and April; great-grandchildren, Camryn, Ireland Grace, Coral and Cecelia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman H. and Ida (nee LeDonne); father-in-law, Michael Piatak, and mother-in-law, Anna Piatak.

Friends may join the family for visitation Monday, December 9, 2013, from 3 to 8 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013, 11 A.M., at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, with visitation one hour prior at 10 A.M. (Please meet at the church). Father Bob Wenz will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
