Mary E. “Dolly” Horner, 90, of Westfield Center, passed away peacefully, with her sons at her side, Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Englewood, Florida. She was born April 23, 1923 in West Monterey, Pennsylvania, to Henry and Myrtle Gordon Jones.
She moved to Creston in 1925 and later to Westfield Township, where she graduated from Westfield High School in 1941. Dolly was employed by Westfield Insurance Companies for 41 years and enjoyed the annual get-togethers with her fellow retirees.
She was a member of the Leroy United Methodist Church and longtime member of Westfield Country Club. She also enjoyed doing crafts, crossword puzzles, reading, bird watching and traveling the world.
She is survived by two sons, Russell (Felice) Horner of Marana, Arizona, Larry (Connie) Horner of Westfield Center; grandchildren, Katie (Rob) Robinson, Matt Horner, Adam (Melissa) Noble; and great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Robert and Sofia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sisters, Mildred Crislip and Edith Sigler; and brothers, Arthur Weber and Virgil Jones.
Family will receive friends Friday, December 20, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi. A private funeral service, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi, will be held. Pastor Pat Edington will officiate.
