Arthur D. Yaussy, 93, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013. He was born September 15, 1920, in Follansbee, West Virginia, to William J. and Sarah L. (Henthorn) Yaussy. He was a resident of Wadsworth for 23 years, previously of Wilmington, North Carolina.
Arthur was a graduate of Morris Harvey with a degree in Chemistry. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in WWII, and was a member of the Seville Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; brothers, Harry and Paul; sister, Helen Pfefferl.
He is survived by his sons, Mark Yaussy of St. Albans, West Virginia and Dale Yaussy of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Sarah (Jason) Dunbar, Janet Yaussy; great grandchildren, Jonathan Dunbar, Sadie Yaussy; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Friends and family may call Sunday, December 29, 2013, from 6 to 8 P.M., at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown. A private burial will take place at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Monroe County.
