Aloysius “Al” J. Lipski, Jr.

Aloysius “Al” J. Lipski, Jr., 78, of Medina, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013, in Medina. He was born June 16, 1935 to Aloysius and Estelle (nee Janowski) Lepkowski, Sr.. in Cleveland.

Aloysius proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in Korea. He enjoyed making model planes, playing golf and was retired from the Coast Guard Reserves and Broadview Heights Police Department and the U.S. Postal Service. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Martins Church in Valley City and a member of AA.

He will be dearly missed by his loving family, wife, Magdalene (Marge); sons, Bruce and Kevin (Susan) Lipski; daughter, Catherine (Timothy) Cumpson; grandchild, Michael J. Martin; great-grandchild; Corey T. Martin; and brother, William Lepkowski.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Francis; sister, Barbara; and granddaughter, Heather Marie.

The family invites friends for visitation Monday, December 30, 2013, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18), Medina. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at 10:30 A.M., at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Rd., Valley City, with Father Thomas Dunphy officiating. (Please meet at the church). Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44273.
