John J. Bistricky

John J. Bistricky, 73, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. He was born on July 3, 1940 to the late Joseph and Dorothy (nee Fagarus) Bistricky in Cleveland.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Unit as a paratrooper. He opened Bistricky Meats 50 years ago in the West Side Market in Cleveland.

John will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 30 years, Marilyn; loving children, John (Cheryl) of Florida, Lisa (Ross) Bagshaw of Texas, Dena Newmann of Colorado, Michelle Chorba of Cleveland, Marjorie Chorba of Wooster and Maria Kinstler of Colorado; cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, Kristina, Taylor, Courtney, Alec, Luke, Vincent and Devon; treasured great-grandchildren, Lyla, Jacob and James; and brothers, Joseph and James Bistricky.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 2 to 5 P.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick. Service will follow at 5 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
