Brunswick senior Ryan Badowski was among 21 Northeast Ohioans named Tuesday as nominees for the McDonald’s All-American games.
Slated for April in Chicago, the games have the best compilation of players in the nation.
Badowski is a Longwood (Va.) recruit who surpassed 1,000 career points last week against Strongsville. The shooting guard for the Blue Devils (8-3, 2-1) is a four-year starter, two-time first-team All-Gazette selection and was honorable mention All-Ohio as a sophomore.
Badowski leads Medina County with a 21.3 scoring average heading into Friday’s Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division game at Garfield Heights (8-1, 1-1).
Pat Forsythe (Brunswick, 2011) and Kenny Kaminski (Medina, 2012) are the other county players to receive nominations in the last three years.
