Kenneth R. Karg, Sr., 84, of Medina, died peacefully Saturday, January 11, 2014. He was born January 24, 1929 in Akron, to Raymond and Emma Karg.
He attended St. Vincent Catholic High School and graduated in 1956 from Kent State University after serving in the Korean War from 1950-52. On June 26, 1954, he married Mary Lou Stricklen and they celebrate 59 years of marriage.
He was a devoted father to Karen, Susan (Bruce) Ruhl, Ken (Linda), Steve (Lisa), Kathy (Mike) Peddicord and Rob (Carol); and loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Calling hours will be at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Road, Copley, Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 S. Weymouth Rd., Medina, with Father William Karg officiating. Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Rittman.
