Rudy Riemer, 82, a longtime Brunswick resident, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014, in Wadsworth. He was born March 20, 1931, in Cleveland, to the late David and Matilda (nee Hoffman) Riemer, and raised by Agustav and Olga Hoffman.
Rudy worked for GM- Terex Division in Hudson, retiring after 25 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He belonged to the Brunswick American Legion Post 234 and VFW post 3120, as well as St. Mark Lutheran Church. He loved to go golfing, gardening and bowling.
Rudy is survived by his daughters, Laura (Reza) Sadeghi of Raleigh, North Carolina and Barbara Considine of Eastlake; cherished grandchildren, Sarah and Alex Sadeghi, Paul (Jen) Dinehart and Scott Dinehart; and treasured great-grandchildren, Austin and Lily Dinehart.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol; loving companion, Ruth Steeber; and siblings, Fred (Ruth) Hoffman, Ernie and Henry Hoffman, Emily (Bob) Fritz, Dorothy Hoffman and Ruth (John) Downes.

Family will receive friends Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, 44212. Service will be held Friday, January 31, 2014, 11A.M., at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1330 North Carpenter Road, Brunswick, with Pastor Steve Girard officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley.
