Joseph Lee Bruner, 62, passed away suddenly, Thursday, January 2, 2014. Joe was born May 19, 1951 at the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
He served two years in the United States Army as a medic, one of the years overseas in Vietman.
Joe is survived by his mother, Nancy (Lyle) Alleman of Spencer: sisters, Deborah (Jim) Walter, Mary Jane King; and brother, Michael Caulk-Cassady; step mother, Marie Bruner; and step sisters, Pam Alleman and Margaret Plucinski; nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph H. Bruner; and his loving companion of 20 years, Nancy Hollingsworth.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 11 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Spencer, 302 West Main St., Spencer.
