Medina County veterans can learn more about the benefits they earned during their military service and what other help is available for them by attending a Veterans Resource Fair on Monday.
The event will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Medina National Guard Armory, 920 Lafayette Road.
More than 55 exhibitors will be on hand to meet and talk to veterans about health, education and other benefits available from the federal government and the state, as well as state and local services offered to veterans. A number of employers will provide information about opportunities for veterans in their companies.
Organizations exhibiting at the event include the Veterans Administration Healthcare System of Ohio, VA Vet Centers, the Ohio Veterans Bonus, Ohio National Guard, the University of Akron, Tri-C Community College, the Cleveland Clinic, Panther Expedite, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services – Veterans Services, Medina County Workforce Development, and local health-care providers.
Attendees at the fair can learn more about the range of benefits available to them and where and how to apply for benefits. The fair also offers wellness information, job-seeking strategies and local business services for veterans.
This free event is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Veterans Services, the Ohio Adjutant General, and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
