Aaron F. Cogar, 78, of Lodi, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Medina Village Nursing and Rehab in Medina. He was born October 6, 1935 in Webster Springs, West Virginia, to Ernie and Rosie (McCoy) Cogar. He moved to Ohio in the early 1950’s and married Shirley Stout on November 27, 1957.
He was employed at Henry Furnace for 28 years and later worked for Hausted Manufacturing for five years, before retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; three children, David Cogar of Medina, Julie Urian of Ft. Myers, Florida, Joyce (Michael) Shultz of Chippewa Lake; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Medina Village and Crossroads Hospice for all their care given to Aaron.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 3 P.M. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, (330) 948-1122. Pastor Larry Mason will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. in the funeral home.
