Bernice Willoughby, 79, of Medina, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Visiting Nurses Hospice Center in Akron. She was born February 26, 1935 in Kenady, Virginia, to the late Noah Milburn and Ada (Elkins) Dotson.
In 1961, she married Gordon Willoughby, who died April 28, 1993.
She is survived by nine children, Bobbie (Don) Namoski of Sullivan, Sandy (Wayne) Goodwin of Conway, Arkansas, Delilah (Rick) Clawson of Seville, Darlene Adams of Cambridge, Frances (David) White of Wadsworth, Wayne Willoughby of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Wanda Fye of New Waterford, William (Julie) Willoughby of Orlando, Florida, and Nancy (Steve) Myers of Chippewa Lake; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Denver Dotson and Curtis (Cindy) Dotson; and one sister, Virginia Hicks, all of Ligonier, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Phillips and Martha Mullins; and 17 brothers and sisters.
Services will be Friday, March 14, 2014, 1 P.M., at Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown, with Pastor Tom Barber officiating. Burial will follow in Earley’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M., before the service at Addy Funeral Home.
