Jaklitsch_GerhartGerhart F. Jaklitsch (aka Gary and Inky), 69, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 12, 2014, in Medina. He was born in Rann, Austria on August 21, 1944.

Gerhart arrived in the United States on October 2, 1951 and moved to Cleveland. He attended Saint Francis and Saint Andrew’s Elementary Schools, graduated from Benedictine High School in 1962 and attended Kent State University. He worked at Reliance Electric, Monarch Printing and American Color, before starting his own business, Weymouth Printing. Gerhart was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2224 and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Morning Star Lodge No. 26. He enjoyed playing sports, working out, spending time with family and friends, golfing, gardening, and fishing with his best friend, Richard Laribee and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorothea (Gallo); two daughters, Susanne Jaklitsch Mussenden (Carl) and Elizabeth Jaklitsch Russel (Andrew); and four grandchildren, Lauren, William, Anna and Sophie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sophie Jaklitsch; and his grandmother, Josefa Bartleme Jaklitsch.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 6 P.M., Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, March 17, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.
