Richard “Ski” Robert Domagalski

Domagalski_RichardRichard “Ski” Robert Domagalski, 86, died Friday, January 17, 2014 in Modesto. Richard was born September 14, 1927 in Cleveland.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, The Korean War and Part of the Vietnam War, then retiring from active military in 1965. Richard loved camping, fishing and hunting with his family.

He lived and worked in California for Saturn Airlines, then moved to Alaska and worked for Alaska International Air, then moved back to Southern California and worked for Pemco Engineering. Finally, Richard chose to settle down with his wife, Helen of 67 years, in Modesto.

Helen preceded Richard in death on January 3, 2014.

He is survived by his three children, sons, Richard Domagalski of Modesto and Michael Domagalski of Buckhorn and daughter, Lisa Rick of Morgan Hill; along with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, living in California; his three sisters, Maryann Glinka, Carol Coppolino and Kathy Didomenico, all of Ohio.

The memorial service was held held Friday, January 31, 2014 at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church in Modesto. Inurnment will be at the Military Cemetery in Gustine.

Memorial contributions may be sent, in honor of Richard, to the American Cancer Society.
