Joan Clement

Clement_JoanJoan Clement (Dembowski), 73, of Brunswick, was called to Heaven, March 27, 2014, in Cleveland. She was born August 9, 1940 in Berea, to the late Casmir and Catherine (Knittel) Dembowski.

Joan had a servant’s mindset, always thinking of others before herself. She was an incredible wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved Jesus, her family, her friends, and her church, St. Ambrose, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, served at funerals, taught religious education and loved celebrating Mass. She was a magnetic personality to everyone she knew. Her smile was contagious, as was her love of life. She will be greatly missed, but she had no fear of dying, because she knew that Jesus and our Father were anxiously awaiting to embrace her with open arms.

She was the beloved wife of 52 years to Ron Clement; loving mother of seven, Cathy, Connie, Guy, Dan, Sandy, Greg, and Kim; dear grandmother of 22, Leila, Rami, Sophia, Luigi, Nino, Filippo, Brionna, Brittany, Josh, Alexis, Shauna, Brad, Brandy, Amanda, Amber, Dawn, Manny, Jonah, Elijah, Luke, Kelly, and Cato; great-grandmother of four, Luigi, Leanna, Sophia and Landon; and sister, of Marion, Joe, Theresa, Pearl, Kay and John.

Family will receive friends at the Waite and Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Monday, March 31, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 P.M. and Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 9 to 10 A.M., at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 A.M., at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick. Reverend Robert Stec will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
