Raymond Eugene Stewart

OBIT FLAGRaymond Eugene Stewart, 75, of Medina, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. He was born in Lodi to the late Robert and Vivian (Mosier) Stewart.

Ray retired from Sandridge Food Corporation after 35 years. He was past president of Cloverleaf Boosters, Saddle Club Country Classic, 4-H advisor for 15 years, member of the Lodi VFW and active at the Lodi Horse Shows.

His greatest love was being with his family and always helping others. Weekends were spent doing chicken barbeques. Ray was a graduate of North Western High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Elaine of 50 years in October 2013.

He is survived by his children, Jeff (Robyn) Stewart of Cincinnati; Michele Stewart of Hartshorne, Oklahoma and Ann (Jeff) Hagenbaugh of Wadsworth; brothers, Carl (Cindy) Stewart, Lodi, Bob (Donna) Stewart, Chippewa Lake; sister, Pat (Carl) Martin of Lodi; grandchildren, Jordon, Carlee and Casey Hagenbaugh, Brooke and Logan Stewart; and great-granddaughter, Kennedy Bell Hagenbaugh.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 4 until 7 P.M., from the Black River Church of the Brethren, 10322 Old Mill Road, Spencer, with service following visitation at 7 P.M. Pastor Mark Teil will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be Friday, April 4, 2014, 9:30 A.M., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A procession will form at 9 A.M., at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Seville. Following committal service, a lunch will be served at the Black River Church of the Brethren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to help defray expenses.
