Allie Mary Letner, 79, went home to her Savior and Lord on Friday, April 4, 2014. Allie was born December 2, 1934, to the late William and Nalvie (Dunford) Stone in Bartley, West Virginia. Allie married the love of her life, Clyde, on August 9, 1952. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Allie worked at Medina General Hospital for over 30 years as a dietary cook, retiring in 1992. Allie enjoyed playing cards, bingo, cooking, and spending time with her family. Allie was strong in her faith in God and attended Crossroads Assembly of God in Creston. She was a very compassionate, kind person, and always helped others. All who shared in her life were certainly touched and enriched by her. She will be truly missed. Allie leaves behind many loving family members and friends.
Allie is survived by her children, Ruth Letner of Medina, Clyde Jr. (Jeannie) Letner of Chippewa Lake, John Letner of Medina, Fred Letner of Columbus, Kathy (Jim) Carlton of Chippewa Lake, Sharon Klein of Medina; also grandchildren, Richard (Jennifer) Letner, Brett Letner, Elmer (Lisa) Teuscher, Ricky Teushcer, Rennie Hall, Allison Letner, Michael (Jeannine) Letner, Jamie (Stacey) Letner, Christine (Josh) Letner, Carrie Carlton, Alan (Kristie) Schempp, Nate Klein, Troy Klein; also great-grandchildren, Paige, Haley, Kaitlyn, Alexis, Jordan, Reilee, Austin, Logan, Joseph, James, Christian, Nick, Ethan, Kayla, Vincent, Hannah, Logan; and dear sister of Juanita (Luther) Kennedy, William (Elaine) Stone, Bertha Green, Lewis (Pat) Stone, and Brenda (Phil) Jessie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Allie was preceded in death by grandson, Nick Carlton; sisters, Ola Mae Cline, Rena Bradshaw, Bessie Virginia Stone; and brothers, Rev. Fred Stone, Sr., Morgan Ball, Kennie Edgar Stone.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 1 P.M., in the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Reverend Mike Boggs and Reverend Garry Menke will officiate. Burial will follow at York Cemetery in Mallet Creek. Family will receive friends Monday, April 7, 2014, from 4 until 8 P.M., at the funeral home.
