Grace A. Torok, 96, of Wadsworth, went to her eternal home Tuesday, April 8, 2014. She was born in Cleveland, October 7, 1917. Grace resided in Valley City and Brunswick prior to moving to Wadsworth.
Grace was a homemaker who proudly raised seven daughters. She was noted as a great cook.
Grace has been a member of St. Martin of Tours since 1964.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Gail, of Arkansas, Suzanne Patti, Lafayette Township, Nancy of Akron, Roberta (Tim) Kettler, of Warsaw, Ohio, Rosemary of Fairport Harbor; Michelle LaMar of Medina and Patricia of Columbus; grandchildren, Michael (Tammy) Patti, Laura (Wayne) Ussery, Steve (Nicole Miller) Marvin, Rebecca (Dustin) Hollabaugh, Valerie and Sarah Sadid and Malcolm Kettler; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Allison and Olivia Hollabaugh and Carly Ussery and Zoe Patti.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven P. Torok, 2008; son-in-law, John Patti; parents, Joseph and Minnie Scheckel; brothers, Bob and Joe Scheckel; and sister, Ruth Stutz.
Calling hours will be Thursday, April 10, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 A.M., Friday, April 11, 2014, at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, (Please meet at the church) with Reverend Thomas Dunphy officiating. Burial will be at St. Martin Church Cemetery, Valley City.
