MONTVILLE TWP. — Three people suffered nonlife-threatening injuries after a head-on collision at Wadsworth and Tower roads Sunday night.

Montville Police Chief Terry Grice said a Ford Escape driven by Jerome Voldrich, of Medina, was southbound on Wadsworth Road when he failed to negotiate a turn and struck a Dodge Dakota waiting to turn north at the stop sign on Tower Road.

The driver of the Dakota, who was 16, was taken to Medina Hospital and released. The juvenile passenger also was transported to Medina Hospital.

Voldrich, who also was taken to Medina Hospital, was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon.

Grice said his office is investigating what may have caused the accident, and noted the Police Department received calls from other drivers about Voldrich’s erratic driving just before the accident.

Grice said Voldrich may have had a medical problem that caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
