Man pleads no contest to child porn charges

MEDINA — A 19-year-old Medina man awaits sentencing after pleading no contest Monday to having child pornography on his home computer.

Dylan Ruesch, 100 block of W. Liberty St., changed his plea from not guilty before Medina County Common Pleas Judge James L. Kimbler. Ruesch is set to be sentenced May 29.

Ruesch was indicted July 3 on two counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, second- and fourth-degree felonies. He faces up to 9½ years in prison.

Police reported Ruesch was arrested in May following a two-week investigation in which city detectives and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force traced several files of child pornography to Ruesch’s computer Internet address.

Ruesch has been free on 10 percent of a $20,000 bond since June 3.
