OBIT FLAGFerio_JohnJohn Ferio, 82, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 in Medina. He was born March 1, 1932 in Kingston, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Mary (nee Keselica) Ferio.

John served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and then went to work as a construction electrician through IBEW Local 38. John was also a member of the Brunswick VFW Post #9520. John enjoyed shooting pool, the NRA and helping everyone by loaning out his tools.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Gloria (nee Raufman); loving children, Vicki (Stephen) Campbell, Laura Ferio, John Ferio and Linda (Brent) Heine; cherished grandchildren, Jason, Derek, Jared, Maria, Lee, Lindsay and Heather (Bradley) Weitz; siblings, Mary (John) Kolesar and Agnes Hansen.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Planovsky.

Friends and family may call Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. Services will be Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial with honors will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
