Harold was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He was an avid bowler, member of Stow Lodge #768 F & AM, the Grange, Stow Sunshiners and Stow Community Church, where he sang in the choir and played the chimes. Harold also served in the Munroe Falls Auxiliary Police and as a Stow schools crossing guard.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Michaleen; daughters, Barbara (Dennis) Triffun, Denise Haboustak, and Elaine (Robert) Balas; grandchildren, Stephanie, Michelle, Katelyn, Nicole, Paul, Ryan, Scott, Zach and Logan; sister, Deanna (Richard) Gordon; and brother, Douglas (Kay Ann) Jones.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 330-688-6631, for visitation Sunday, May 4, 2014, 4 until 7 P.M. Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Monday, May 5, 2014, 10:30 A.M., at Stow Community Church, 1567 Pilgrim Drive, Stow 44224. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, with military honors provided by Charles Faust American Legion Post #281, Cuyahoga Falls.
