More than three dozen animals were adopted Saturday at an annual adoption drive, held at the Medina County Community Center.
Medina County Auditor Mike Kovack, whose office planned the event in conjunction with the Medina County Fairgrounds, said he thought the event was a success.
“It went real well,” Kovack said. “We’ve confirmed 37 adoptions so far but now a lot of the rescues require applications before they get adopted. So we’ve got at least two dozen waiting on applications.”
The event was held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the community center, 735 Lafayette Road, Medina. In addition to adoptable animals, it boasted drawings, a pet photo contest, information on how to administer first aid for pets and dog obedience demonstrations.
