MEDINA — Township voters overwhelmingly supported a proposal to authorize Medina County commissioners to negotiate retail natural gas rates for the residents of the county’s 17 townships.
The issue passed easily by a vote of 5,373 (59.46 percent) to 3,664 (40.54 percent), according to unofficial county board of elections results.
The proposal was one of four local issues that passed in Tuesday’s primary election.
A request for new money for Cloverleaf Schools passed as did a renewal levy for Brunswick Schools. Voters in the city of Brunswick also said yes to a levy to repair neighborhood roads.
