MEDINA — A 70-year-old Brunswick man will spend 16 years in prison for sharing photos he took of two children performing sex acts on one another.

David Thomas, of the 1100 block of Potomac Drive, pleaded no contest in April to 16 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and 10 counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. In addition to sentencing Thomas to prison, Medina County Common Pleas Judge Christopher J. Collier on Monday labeled Thomas a Tier II sex offender.

After his release from prison, Thomas must register with the sheriff’s office where he lives every six months for 25 years.

Collier said Thomas was accused of sharing the photos of a boy and a girl, ages 4 and 6, in December with other people, who would share similar photos with him.
