‘Everything baby’ class aids Medina County parents

MEDINA — Becoming a parent can be an exciting but nerve-racking time.

That is why new and expecting parents are invited to attend the Medina County Health Department Women, Infants and Children Division’s 11th annual Medina County Baby Fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Club, 696 Lafayette Road, Medina.

The “everything baby” event will offer more than 50 resources for new parents. Tutorials on how to install car seats, breastfeeding information, pediatric health care providers, doulas and “mommy pampering professionals” are some of the resources that will be available.

Guests also can explore programs, classes and services available through local agencies and organizations.

“Baby Fair is about connecting new and expecting parents to the right tools and supports,” WIC director Pam Shank said. “When moms and dads are equipped for their new role as parents, babies are given a healthier, happier start to life.”

Baby Fair will include raffle prizes, giveaways and refreshments.
