Medina police searching for suspects of Sunday morning home invasion

MEDINA — Medina police are looking for two men they say busted down an apartment door on Birch Hill Drive, threatened a man with a shotgun and demanded cash early Sunday morning.

A 25-year-old Cleveland Heights man and another unidentified man took off with an unknown amount of cash in a Volkswagen after stashing the shotgun behind the Birch Hill apartment building near the tree line, police Sgt. Scott Marcum said.

The 21-year-old victim sustained minor injuries to his face, Marcum said.

Marcum said that it is unknown if the robbery was drug related, but one of the men and the victim have a history together.

“We hope to have them both in custody as soon as we can,” Marcum said.
