Lynn Marie Ambrose, 51, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 5, 1962, in Painesville, daughter of Harlan and Mary Ann Patterson. She married Boyd Ambrose on September 17, 1988 in Medina.
Lynn graduated from Medina Senior High School in 1981. She was a dedicated homemaker and volunteered countless hours to her children’s schools, her community and the Brunswick Football Moms Club. She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, her dogs, and football.
She is survived by her husband, Boyd; three children, Michael, Joleen and Jacob; her father, Harlan (Kathy) Patterson of West Union, Iowa; her cherished sisters, Patricia (Edward) Downey of Howard, Ohio and Melissa (Steve) DeNeut of Joliet, Illinois; father-in-law, Bobby (Ginger) Ambrose; sisters-in-law, Rita Cook and Tracey (Keith) Cook; and brother-in-law, Tommy (Sophie) Ambrose, all of Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Matthew, David, Anna, Mark, Jennifer, Ginger, Bobby, Thomas, Tyler, Dillon and Kane.
She was preceded in death by her mother; mother-in-law, and grandparents.
Services will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, with family visitation at 8:30 A.M., and the Funeral Mass at 10:15 A.M. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Cemetery, Brunswick.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
