Medina woman killed when car goes over cliff

CLEVELAND — Authorities said a Medina woman died after her car went over a cliff at Edgewater Park on Sunday afternoon.

Edith J. Pandur, 88, of Medina, died in the accident, a spokesman for the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office said Sunday night.

Rescue crews were able to free Pandur’s daughter from of the car and she was being treated at a Cleveland hospital.

The spokesman said the accident occurred in the 6500 block of Cleveland Memorial Shoreway.

An assistant fire chief said it was not clear who was driving when the car went over the cliff and landed on rocks below.
