Marie K. Linter, 93, of Lodi, formerly of Seville, died peacefully at her home, Wednesday, May 28, 2014, following a period of declining health. Marie was born October 29, 1920, in Neffs, Ohio, to the late Charles E. and Barbara A. (Ruble) King.
She married William A. Linter, June 10, 1941, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1988.
Marie attended school in Seville and had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Seville. She served on the Medina County Fair Board as an official for 27 years and was a member of the Medina County Jersey Cattle Club. Marie enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing and feeding the birds, but her greatest joy was her family.
Surviving are her two daughters, Linda Longsdorf, with whom she had made her home and Judy Burnette of Marshallville; seven grandchildren, Sandy Lewis, Joe Lewis, Lauri Mueller, Chris Lance, Cynthia Vaughn, David Vaughn and Daniel Vaughn; 18 grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Jean King of Creston; two foster sons, John C. Hooper of Wisconsin and John Bricker of West Salem.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Lewis; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Lewis; a sister, Nancy Hemming; and brothers, John, Herman, Joe, Homer, Clarence and James King.
Services will be Monday, June 2, 2014, 11 A.M., at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with Reverend John Lurtz officiating. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, June 1, 2014, from 2 until 5 P.M., at the funeral home.
