CHATHAM TWP. — Two people were injured in a weekend crash at state routes 83 and 162.
The Ohio Highway Patrol reported the crash happened about 8 p.m. Saturday when a 2007 Nissan Altima, westbound on Route 162, went through a stop sign and crashed into a northbound sport utility vehicle.
The SUV, a 2010 Dodge Journey, hit a utility pole and flipped over. The driver, Cassandra A. Csehi, 41, of Cleveland, was flown by helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. A condition report was not available Wednesday.
The driver of the Nissan, Jeffery M. Young Jr., 24, of Medina, was taken to Lodi Community Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Both drivers were using seat belts, the report said.
Lt. William Haymaker, commander of the patrol’s Medina post, said alcohol is suspected as a factor in the crash.
