Black River Schools looking for new superintendent

SULLIVAN TWP. — The Black River school board met in executive session Thursday night to discuss selecting a new superintendent for the district.

The board has narrowed the search to two candidates and hoped to select the finalist Thursday night, board President Jody Weidrick wrote in an email.

If the candidate accepts the position, the board expects to approve the hire at its regular meeting — 7 p.m. June 19 — Weidrick’s email said.

In February, the board accepted the resignation of Superintendent Janice Wyckoff, effective July 31. She has accepted a position with Clear Fork Valley Schools in Bellville, according to board meeting minutes.
