Man, 19, gets jail for child porn

MEDINA — A 19-year-old West Liberty Street man will spend six months in jail for having child pornography on his home computer.

Dylan Ruesch also was ordered by Medina County Common Pleas Judge James L. Kimbler to four years of probation and to have no contact with minors. If he violates probation, Kimbler warned Ruesch he will spend two years in prison.

Kimbler labeled Ruesch a Tier II sex offender, meaning he must register with the local sheriff’s office every six months for 25 years after his release from jail.

Ruesch was sentenced after pleading no contest in April to two counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. He could have faced up to 9½ years in prison. Police reported Ruesch was arrested in May 2013 following a two-week investigation in which Medina detectives and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force traced several files of child porn to Ruesch’s computer Internet address.
