MEDINA — A 36-year-old Grafton man police say was responsible, along with his wife, for a six-month string of burglaries in Liverpool Township last year pleaded guilty Monday in Medina County Common Pleas Court.

Jerimiah Covey pleaded to 11 counts of burglary. He faces a sentence of eight or more years in prison at his July 28 sentencing hearing before county Common Pleas Judge Christopher J. Collier.

Covey’s wife, 30-year-old Shannon Covey, pleaded no contest to her burglary charges in March and awaits sentencing on June 26.

The couple was arrested after Medina County sheriff’s deputies tracked down their vehicle, which was spotted near the scene of an attempted robbery in Granger Township. The couple was arrested after deputies found some of the items reported stolen in their vehicle.

Investigators connected them to possibly 13 burglaries in Liverpool Township in 2013. They said a second group of burglars might have been targeting the same area.
