John H. Henderson II

OBIT FLAGJohn H. Henderson II, 61, of Seville, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Hospice Care Center in Medina. He was born December 5, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan, to John H. andHenderson_John Barbara (Thorsby) Henderson I and lived most of his life in Saginaw before moving to Seville.

John graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1971 and served in the U.S. Army from 1980 to 1984. He married Lou A. Holsworth on September 19, 2008, she survives.

He was employed by Verizon as a phone technician for seven years and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rittman. He enjoyed playing in the praise band at church and actively served the church and was dedicated to helping anyone in need. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and playing his guitar.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his daughters, Angela (Shawne) Rowland of Detroit, Michigan, Shannon Davis of Pontiac, Michigan and Heather Davis of Davisburg, Michigan; son, Brandan Brewer of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Cameron, Mandrel, Jazmine, Kayla, Morgan, Deshawn and Carmello; three great grandchildren; mother, Barbara Henderson of Alpena, Michigan; sisters, Barbara Rogers of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Laura (Jerry) Labaza of Harrisville, Michigan, Ingrid Henderson of Saginaw, Michigan and Cheryl (Randy) Hill of Appleton, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, July 14, 2014 at the United Methodist Church, 211 N. Metzger Ave., Rittman at 10:30 A.M., with Reverend Charles R. Kaliszewski officiating. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 2 to 4 P.M at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman, OH 44270.
