MEDINA — Sushi from the East has met gourmet cheeseburgers from the West at a new Medina restaurant.

Twiisted, 985 Boardman Alley, previously known as Sushi on the Roll, held a grand opening Friday.

General manager Damon West was brought in earlier this year to develop a fresh concept on the Medina food scene.

“We listened to our customers, who want more variety than sushi and bowls,” he said.

Head chef Lee Ruffier created a fully fleshed-out menu that features everything from raw salmon to gourmet burgers, high-quality steaks, salads, appetizers and premium desserts.

The renovated building features a 20-person sports bar, a granite sushi bar, a full-service restaurant and a patio.
