Judy Ann Morlock

MORLOCK_JUDYJudy Ann (nee Armentrout) Morlock passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Kennesaw, Georgia, following a short and courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born January 9, 1941, to Dwight and Lois (Conway) Armentrout and grew up in Fredericktown, Ohio.

Fredericktown always held a special place in Judy’s heart and she visited there each summer to attend the Tomato Festival and visit family and friends. She attended Fenn College and Huron Road School of Nursing then graduated as a registered nurse. While in college she met the love of her life, Myron A. Morlock and they were married on August 17, 1963.

Judy worked as a surgical nurse at Medina Community Hospital and was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Valley City. She and Myron moved their family to Southfield, Michigan and then to Sterling Heights, Michigan. While in Sterling Heights, Judy was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church. In 1997 she moved to Marietta, Georgia and later to Taylorsville, Georgia, where she resided until her death.

She is survived by daughter, Cyndi (David) Swan of Taylorsville, Georgia; very special grandchildren, Ben and Jillian Perkins of Taylorsville; brother, Jack (Ann) Armentrout of Westerville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Wilma French of Medina; nephew, Dwain (RuthAnn) Armentrout; nieces, Abby (Steve) Taylor, Barb (John) Schmacher, Joyce (Mark) Rice and Betty (Russ) Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron on September 27, 1996; her parents; mother-in-law, Helen C. Morlock; and brother-in-law, Lee French.

The Reverend Rollin Conway will officiate at a Memorial Service on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 3 P.M., at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2233 Abbeyville Road, Valley City. Burial service will follow at the church cemetary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Agape Hospice Foundation, 5825 Glenridge Drive, Atlanta, GA 30328.

Cremation services were handled by Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville, Georgia.
