Leoda Frances Folger, 89, of Brunswick, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2014. She was born in Letart, West Virginia, on June 29, 1925, to the late George A. and Virginia (Roush) Grimm.
Leoda was a faithful and active member of the Brunswick Church of the Nazarene. She taught Sunday school there for over 50 years. She was devoted to her family and her church.
Leoda is survived by her loving children, Janet Folger, Joyce (Ralph) Whitney, Alan (Gail) Folger and Jayne (Bill) Loudermilk; beloved grandchildren, Janeen (Jason) Oesterling, Adam (Jenny) Whitney, Sarah (Jon) Sheldon, Nathan (Erica) Whitney, Seth (Candace) Whitney, Wesley, Jacquelyn and Kathryn Loudermilk and Lucas, Tyler and Bo Folger; 17 great-grandchildren; and her dear brothers, George Leonard (Arlene) and Homer (Ester) Grimm.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Alan A. Folger in 1995; and her siblings, William W. Grimm, Rebecca Talkington and Thomas L. Grimm.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Donis Williams of Brunswick Church of the Nazarene will officiate, with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in the funeral home.
