Francis Edward Norton, 76, of Lodi, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Akron General Medical Center, fortified by the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church. He was born in Cleveland on August 21, 1937, to Charles J. and Ellen Elizabeth (McKeon) Norton and had resided in the Lodi area for 31 years.
He was a graduate of Cathedral Latin High School and had attended Cleveland State. Mr. Norton retired from Dominion East Ohio following 37 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Lois (nee Ragazinskas); children, Kathleen (Mark) Muehleisen, Michael Edward Norton, Mary Ellen (Jonathan) Niemira, Joseph F. Norton; grandchildren, Colin G.C. Muehleisen, Erin N. Rastatter, Kerry M. and Deirdre L. Norton, Zachary F., Andrew J. and Lois E. Niemira; sisters, Mary Alice Norton, Margaret Dake; and his brother, John F. Norton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Florence Norton; and brother, Charles J. Norton, Jr.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 44 Britton St., West Salem. Father Thomas E. Stock will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lodi.
Visitation will be Friday evening, July 25, 2014 from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi.
