Medina police seek suspect in connection with Union Square robbery

MEDINA — Police are searching for a Cleveland man wanted in connection with a robbery at the Union Square apartments.

Antwan R. Gideon, 33, is charged with robbery, a second-degree felony, stemming from an altercation at the apartment complex on June 29.

Police say a person was assaulted during the altercation and the victim’s cellphone was stolen.

The victim sustained injuries requiring surgery and was transported to Medina General Hospital.

Police said Gideon had an accomplice, Randy D. Tuttle, 31, of Cleveland, who also was charged in connection with the robbery.

Tuttle was arrested on a drug possession charge in Garfield Heights at 5:18 p.m. Sunday. Tuttle also was wanted for trafficking in heroin in Medina.

Tuttle is the sixth person charged by the Police Department with trafficking in heroin since July 1.
