Cleveland FBI releases photo of FirstMerit bank robber

MEDINA — The Cleveland Division of the FBI has released a photo of Wednesday’s bank robbery at FirstMerit Bank, 1105 S. Court St.

Special Agent Vicki Anderson described the suspect as a white man about 6 feet tall with an average build.

She said he is estimated to be 30 to 40 years old and was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask, black sunglasses and black track pants.

“The subject jumped the counter and pulled teller drawers out,” Anderson wrote in an email. “No weapon was shown or implied.”

The man drove away in a black sedan with temporary tags, Anderson said.

The robbery occurred just after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
