Sales tax revenue distributed to schools

MEDINA — Medina County commissioners have approved the distribution of $2.6 million in second-quarter sales tax revenue to local schools.

The money is from the 0.5 percent sales tax earmarked for capital improvements that voters approved for schools in May 2007.

County Finance Director Scott Miller said the amount is 3.1 percent more than was given out at this time last year.

Following is a distribution breakdown:
• Bunswick — $651,587.75
• Medina — $642,555.85
• Wadsworth — $426,822.24
• Highland — $281,021.41
• Cloverleaf — $238,184.36
• Buckeye — $196,895.63
• Black River — $51,094.80
• Medina County Career Center — $83,609.68
• Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities — $3,096.65
• North Central — $3,612.76
• Rittman EVSD — $2,064.44
