He moved to the Cleveland area in the 1950s and later to Valley City. Glenn retired from Ford Motor Company after 28 years.
Glen was an active member of First Baptist Church of Strongsville. He enjoyed bowling and going out to eat with family and friends. If you ever met Glen, you became his friend for life.
Glen is survived by his wife, Myrtle, married 27 years; children, Karen (Dave) Shega, Loretta (Bob) Phillip, Doris (David) Weir and Lowry (Jean) Stroup; grandchildren, Brandon, Brian, Ashley, Alissa, Thomas Etling, Melissa Etling, Aaron (Melanie) Stroup and Rebecca Stroup; great-grandchildren, Leah, Emma and Anna Stroup.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hattie; three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014, 12 Noon, at the First Baptist Church, 17444 Drake Road, Strongsville, with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 30, 2014, 4 until 7 P.M., at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City and Thursday, 11 A.M. until Noon, at the church. Burial will be take place at East lawn Memory Garden, Brunswick.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the church, if desired.
